Deep Fried French Toast

INGREDIENTS
2 cups milk
8 eggs
4 teaspoons vanilla
Vegetable oil for deep frying
1 loaf Challah bread - cut into 2-inch cubes
Maple syrup
Honey
Strawberry preserves
Apricot preserves
Powdered sugar
Cinnamon sugar

DIRECTIONS
Whisk milk, eggs, and vanilla in medium bowl to blend thoroughly. Add enough oil to deep fryer to fill halfway. Heat to 375 degrees.
Dip the bread cubes into the custard and allow the mixture to soak through the bread. Remove the bread from the custard and allow the excess to drip back into bowl. Fry until golden brown, about 2 minutes. Drain briefly on paper towels.
Place the accompaniments in attractive bowls. Invite your guests to top their French toast with the toppings of their choice.
