Knockwurst in Beer

INGREDIENTS
8 knockwurst
1 pint beer
2 tablespoons vinegar
1 tablespoon sugar

DIRECTIONS
Simmer the knockwurst in the beer very slowly for 15 minutes. Remove to a heated shallow baking dish.
Increase the heat to high and reduce the beer to 1/3 cup. Add the vinegar and sugar and cook until the sugar dissolves. Pour the mixture over the knockwurst and broil briefly, turning to brown on all sides.
Serves: 8
