Ginger Snaps

INGREDIENTS
3/4 cup shortening
1 cup sugar
4 tablespoons molasses
1 egg
2 cups flour
2 teaspoons soda
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon ginger
1 teaspoon cloves

DIRECTIONS
Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

Cream shortening and sugar and then add the molasses and the egg. Add sifted dry ingredients and beat till smooth roll and coat with granulated sugar.

Bake at 375 degrees for 12-15 minutes
